About Us

Turtle Lake Public Library
From very humble beginnings in 1960, the Turtle Lake Public Library serves not only the Village of Turtle Lake but surrounding townships in both Barron and Polk counties. After many moves, we have settled into our space in downtown Turtle Lake.
Mission Statement
The Turtle Lake Public Library is here to provide a welcoming place for everyone to engage in lifelong learning, open exploration, connection with others, civic engagement, and worldly-wise education. We provide a well-maintained, up-to-date, and reliable collection of resources, as well as helpful service and equal access to all library offerings.
Vision Statement
The Turtle Lake Public Library strives to preserve all library services as free and accessible for everyone. Our goal is to broaden perspectives and foster our community through comprehensive services as an inclusive public haven.
